I've always wanted to make a Flash opening for a website, but I never did. By the time I got the equipment and knowledge to so something like that, I realized how many people found it annoying that a flash movie would just start up at the beginning. But I figured I could have a splash page with two links on it, "See Opening Movie" and "Enter Site" or something like that.

You'll notice this suddenly stops =| It didn't make it to where I wanted it to before I lost my tablet. That frame up there is from the next scene. I don't know if I'll finish it by mouse. Maybe I'll take up a system someday where I draw one frame a day - but right now, it's done.

Probably not. Because there's only like ten seconds left, though it's the most difficult ten seconds to animate in the opening. As you can see, the first bit of animation is recycled, and the next the characters don't move all that much.

Mainly I just want this here in case my computer explodes.

Thanks ^^ I'm not sure if I'll get anywhere with another piece, though - I haven't been animating for a long time.

It's mostly about the Airbrush tool. The more you want something to shine, the more opacity you add.

WOW!!! This is so exciting!! The music you chose (wrote?) and the images! So what if the animation is simple? If it gets one all hyped up about the story, it is GREAT!!!

BTW, I have been reading your 20 Galaxies comic, I just am too busy with school to comment on them all!! But they are looking and being great!!! I'll keep reading!!!!!

:clap: This is great!!! How could a flash movie at the beginning be annoying? O.o Yea, a "Skip Movie and Enter" button would work best tho in case the person wants to skip watching~ ^^

Geez :jawdrop:, this is awesome , I've always wanted to do something like this for my comic, what program did you use and how long did it take you to make it?? :+fav:
whirlwynd Featured By Owner Sep 24, 2005  Hobbyist General Artist
The programs were Photoshop 5.5 and Flash MX 2004, but I'm not sure how long it took to make it because some of the frames are recycled ^^;
